Over long periods of time, the erosion of gold-bearing rocks inland has resulted in the transport of gold, diamonds, and industrial minerals down rivers to the sea.
These rivers flowed out on the continental shelf during times of lowered sea levels, and those
old river channels, now under the sea, still hold quantities of gold, diamonds, and industrial minerals. The goal of Marine Mining Corp. is to locate and exploit those minerals in the coastal waters of Ghana.
